Since we're going to only off Market Cards this year, we thought it would be a good idea to dedicate a whole blog post to how this will differ from our Market Style / Points CSA.
We'll start with the biggest (& in my opinion best) difference; checking the remaining balance on the market cards is as easy as scanning the QR code on the back of the card with your camera! From there, you can also and reload the card. This was one of the biggest deciding factors when we were considering this switch. This will take a lot of the guesswork out of transferring purchases to points and writing it down on our sheet legibly enough to read it.
These cards also have a cheaper initial cost. Market cards will start at $25 each and go up in $25 increments to $500. Card reloads can be done in any amount.
Market cards never expire either! I'm excited about this change too! No more worrying about spending your points before the end of the season or passing it off to family. You can hold onto these cards through the winter and use them again in the spring with no problems.
For those that are tech savvy, Market cards can be added to your Apple Wallet so you don't even have to keep your card on you to shop with us!
These cards are easy to gift as well, perfect for the holidays!
And the 3rd big advantage I particularly like is that you can order produce online with your market card! All you have to do is enter in the card information in the gift card section of check out.
If you're reading this and have never been a CSA member of ours but have shopped with us regularly in the past, and paid with a credit card, we don't charge an extra transaction fee to use it!
If you are a current CSA member and have points remaining at the end of 2023, we will transfer your points back into a dollar value and mail you a card. (If you're reading this and haven't received a card yet, please let me know!) Please don't hesitate to send us an email if you have questions about that! Because the cards don't have a start or end date, we will no longer be offering coupons. We've been keeping track the last few years, and only about 10% of each coupon was being used.
About the Early Bird Special: We're going to have the market cards for 15% off Small Business Saturday sale this Saturday (11.25) as per usual! We'll also be having a 10% off sale before Christmas and at the end of March. The sales will apply to new card purchases as well as card reloads. Card reloads will need to have a special coupon, so check the CSA page on our website for that.
